Hi, I’m Griffin White, head coach and founder of Mind Muscle Fitness. Growing up, I was always around sports, and while you could call me athletic, I wasn’t the super-fit kid. It was a competitive world, and I often found myself caught in the trap of comparing my progress to others. That experience taught me early on what it feels like to struggle with confidence – and it sparked a lifelong commitment to building both self-confidence and self-acceptance. That journey is what ultimately shaped my passion for personal training.
Like many people, I’ve had my share of ups and downs with fitness. I battled with weight fluctuations, tried countless fad diets, and jumped from one workout program to another – only to give up when they didn’t fit my lifestyle. Without guidance or accountability, I kept falling back into old habits. What finally changed things for me was a shift in mindset. I stopped focusing on how I looked and started focusing on how I felt – confident, capable, and energized enough to do the things I love, especially spending time outdoors. That’s when fitness became less about appearance and more about living with purpose.
Unlike some trainers, I’ll admit – working out isn’t always effortless for me. I understand what it’s like to need a little motivation. That’s why I emphasize creativity, variety, and sustainability in every workout.
My goal is to make training challenging but enjoyable, helping my clients feel strong and balanced – not burned out. I’m deeply grateful to have been recognized as one of the “Best of WNC” Physical Trainers by the readers of Mountain Xpress for four consecutive years. It’s an honor to do what I love: helping others build strength, confidence, and a healthier relationship with themselves.
